Visual impairment a term which covers a wide range of visual challenges, vision loss and blindness as a result of eye conditions, eye disease, neurological vision defects and trauma. The symptoms of one person's visual impairment can vary greatly compared to another person with visual impairment.
Not every person who is registered as 'blind' will have total loss of vision. Not every person with visual impairment or blindness will have the same journey or experience. It is important that everyone is treated on a personal and individual basis according to their strengths, abilities, experience, visual complaints and needs.
By learning more about visual impairment, we can work together to make our world more accessible and inclusive.
